Nice cold morning

We have had some warmer days, but not warm enough to melt the snow. It was raining in the valley, but snowing in the mountains :-) They have started to prepare tracks, and it's possible to ski, but since only a few of the tracks follow the roads, we still hope for more snow. Nice to have so many comments, then we know you follow the blog. The winter season is about to start at Venabu, mostly week-end visitors. Guiding starts at Christmas. Look forward to seeing you all again!

Hei,

nice to see that your blog continues. I have been frequently reading your blog the last winter season. Like the way your are describing your ski adventures, capturing the special atmosphere of light and landscape in your pictures and reporting waxing conditions. I am planning a ski tour through Rondane from north to south end of march next year and hope that the upcoming winter will bring a bit more snow than there has been last season.
Keep it up!

God tur,
Matthias

I am heading to Venabu in a couple of weeks and I can't wait to try cross country skiing for the first time! Do you think we might be able to see the Northern lights this year?

See you soon!

Tam

Hi Tam, it's hard to tell when you can see the Northern light. It depends on the conditions and on the weather, of course. If you are lucky, you will see it. We see it regularly throughout the whole winter. Remember to go out in the cold every evening to have a look!!
