Thursday -mild and windy

4PM update: It has been windy and still subzero temperatures - very nice on forest trails and challenging in open areas.

Wednesday on Trolløypa

7AM: -4.8 Celsius, light air from E-SE, partly cloudy, great visibility. After yesterday`s warm maximum temperature (+5.1 Celsius) we are expecting milder conditions today as well. It is still far from klister time, but needs smart thinking to find and take the right combination of waxes with us.




6PM update: Great "wind assisted" tour to Måsåplassen in sunny and windy conditions. Snow condition was good (blue extra/violet) despite of mild temperatures. Trails were windblown, but had solid base. The views and colours were amazing all the way to Måsåplassen.

Tuesday -Reindeer on Muen

7AM: -3 Celsius, light breeze from W-NW, overcast, good visibility. Looking at the weather forecast - we might experience some changes in the next days. It has already started with cloudy and milder conditions.




Late update: Yesterday we had an anusual breakfast time when we looked at Muen and saw hundreds of reindeer climbing up and down. We altered our original skisafari tour to avoid any disturbance to the herd, but still managed to have a fantastic day out in the Northern parts of Venabygdsfjellet - even visited Gråhøgdbu.

Late update: We started our first skisafari tour today and enjoyed every moment of it. Great time and views on Dynjefjellet - skiing up on the ridge and taking a challenging route down on the southern side.

Weekend

Weather forecast has been challenged every day with different datas than we expected, but so far it has been a great week skiing and everyone enjoyed their holidays and half term breaks at Venabygdsfjellet.

Fantastic day






Another amazing sunny day out in the northern areas enjoying the fresh snow and some challenging off piste routes. All trails were prepared -even Trolløypa towards Måsåplassen. We are looking forward to another day like this tomorrow.

Weekend

Later update: Fog lifted and it turned out to be a sunny day with lots of people skiing and enjoying the area.

Wednesday- Svabudalen/Reindeer land tour

6PM update: Great tour in Svabudalen with some stunning views. The weather made it a bit challenging - having cold wind and snowfall in our way, but we managed to overcome these obstacles. It was amazing to see a few reindeer too.

6PM update: Many trails cut - amazing views and lovely skiing. We had a great time skiing up to the top of Svartfjell and around it. Looking at some stunning views and even some great animal tracks. Enjoy our moments we captured.
