North - Northeast
7AM: -7.5 Celsius, calm, partly cloudy, great visibility. Heading out for another fine day.
What a lovely day again in the open areas - visiting Grahogdbu DNT cabin and Dorjuvet canyon - enjoying the beautiful scenery and our ability to move off piste. We even managed to spot some animal tracks such as moose and wolverine.

Saturday blizzard and views

1PM update: Looking outside it seems like we are in a middle of a blizzard. It is snowing and blowing heavy - despite of the mild (+1.3 Celsius) temperature.
We just had a fun tour checking out our skisafari areas and found some amazing views including animal tracks. This could be the question of this weekend. Which animal did leave these tracks?(answer is in the title of pictures) Of course all these photos were taken before the snow came down.

"Tourday"
Great tour in Muen area, spotted 2 groups of reindeer, one on Veslemuen, other one across Road 27 at Ramstinden. Amazing morning with a lot of fog and lights around, coming back in sunset.

Kyrkjegardsfjellet Tour
We set out this morning in the fog (official forecast: sunny day , temperature around -10 Celsius) looking for some sunny spots around Kyrkjegardsfjellet. It was a lovely day with some very special lights and fog combination. The sun almost broke through the thick layer, but after a few tries gave up. Some areas were pretty cold, close to -16 Celsius with lots of moisture, which made the air biting in our faces. Tracks were in great condition and we enjoyed our day out. We even came across an elk track crossing the ski trail close to Holtesetervegen.

Hare track
Looking at a hare track you find and interesting thing. Which way did this hare go? You would think it is from the right to the left, but when you look at the second picture you see the paws` position, so when hares travel, first their small front paws touch the ground, then the larger back feet travel over the paws still on the ground, and land in front of the planted front paws. Therefore, tracks of the front paws lie behind the tracks of the back paws.
It is moving from the left to the right.
